In the lead up to COP25, the Embassy of Spain and the Embassy of Chile, in partnership with the Delegation of the European Union to the United States, World Resources Institute (WRI), and GCoM hosted a reception with energy and climate experts. Speakers included Ambassador of Spain Santiago Cabanas, Ambassador of Chile Alfonso Silva Navarro, Ambassador of the European Union Stravros Lambrinidis, Chef and Humanitarian Jose Andres, the World Resources Institute, Inter-American Development Bank, UN Foundation, European Investment Bank, and World Bank Group. This event also featured the GCoM/WRI Data Portal for Cities and served as an outreach opportunity to gather data from nations and stakeholders for the platform.
